After collecting sports items for over 50 years I am selling much of my accumulation. I live near St. Louis & have many baseball Cardinals & Browns items, but much more. I hope to update this site often as I have far too much to list at one time. I do not have a store and it is not possible to browse through my inventory in person.
Name/Phone - Richard Leech. Please use e-mail when possible. An e-mail link is at the top and bottom of each page. If necessary, call 618-624-6336. An answering machine is always on but I will answer if here. ("Here" is in the Central Time Zone, 15 miles east of lovely Busch Stadium (Cardinals), the grandiose Scottrade Center (Blues), and the exorbitant Edward Jones Dome (Rams).
Guarantee
- Anything may be returned for refund if you are
dissatisfied.
Notify by e-mail that you are returning an item and send it back within
7 days of receipt in the same condition as received. I will
acknowledge
by e-mail and will refund your purchase price when the item is received.
Note: "Caveat
Emptor (Let the buyer beware)" does not apply here. You
do
not have to "beware" of anything you buy from me. If there is any
problem I will make it right. NO HASSLE!
Ordering
-
a.
Send an e-mail listing the items you want. Please include your
ZIP
code. (My e-mail link is at the top and bottom of each inventory
page.) I'll return a message confirming your order with the
amount
for shipping noted. Then send a check or money order payable to Richard
Leech at the address in my message.
b. Postage,
Shipping: Items will be shipped at the cheapest estimated
rate,
US Postal Service or UPS, and only that amount will be added to your
total.
You must tell me if you want an order shipped faster (and therefore
more
expensively). Insurance is optional and an additional cost.
If you do not request insurance then you accept responsibility for loss
or damage to the package. Most items will go by US
Mail, First Class, Priority, or Media Mail (for books).
If you want to estimate shipping my ZIP code is 62208.
c. Sales
Tax: Illinois residents should add 7.5% to the purchase price
unless a state resale tax number is provided.
Authenticity
-
a.
Any reprints, copies, or reproductions will be clearly identified in
the
items' descriptions (if I have any). Everything else is
guaranteed
to be original and authentic. If you receive something from me
that
you question or are unsure about, or think I have mis-identified,
please
let me know.
b.
Certificate of Authenticity (COA)? I do not routinely issue COAs
but will do so when requested. Most COAs that I have seen are
either
irrelevant or worthless, but I will try to write a meaningful COA when
applicable. This will usually apply to autographs received in
person
but may be appropriate for other autographs, as well as other items.
Condition/Grading
-
a.
Publications: Publications are
complete
with the inside pages decent unless noted otherwise. Any
deficiencies, missing pages, tears, cut-outs, etc., will be noted when
I am aware of them. When no deficiency is noted and a grade is
stated,
the grade applies to the cover and you can assume the inside pages are
OK.
b.
Cards: I have over 34 years experience at grading cards and have
been familiar with Beckett and SCD guidelines since both of them
originated.
I get tired of grading cards rather quickly so may not put much detail
into the grades on this inventory. My policy is to "undergrade,"
especially when there is any doubt or the card falls in-between
grades.
A scan of any card(s) and more details are available if requested.
c. Grading of any
collectable,
but especially publications and cards, is subjective and you may not
agree
with my opinion. I may even omit something or make a mistake
occasionally,
although I try to avoid it and hate to admit it. Please tell me
about
it when I do.
d. I
do not sell, buy, or trade formally graded cards (PSA, CSA, ASA,
whatever).
However, you may read about the most interesting grading service in the
world if you first place your tongue firmly in cheek, then click on Authentication
Super-Simian.
Images - A scan or picture of any item is available, either by e-mail or by posting to this or another server; just ask for it. Putting too many images on this site would violate the KISS principle and might exceed the site size limit. Also, too many colorful images could result in the site winning an award or something and we want to avoid that!

are
